Born out of a passion for building products that help everybody.
My name is Daniel Immke, and I'm a developer and designer. Over my career, I've worked on many kinds of projects. However, it wasn't until I began working on a contract for the CDC that I discovered a sector that I am truly passionate about. My work had a clear and immediate benefit to society in a way that nothing I'd ever worked on before did.
This became especially clear during the COVID-19 crisis, which was a very stressful time. I wrote about what it was like supporting the agency during that time. These experiences inspired me to start my own business to help other government organizations do digital better.
A Public Good is a good or service that is provided to all members of society. That's my guiding vision for this company, and why I named it PubGood. The phrase "Government Contractor" conjures up shoddy quality and corrupt back room deals in the imagination of much of the public, but I want to change that. I am building a company that helps the government serve their constituents at a higher standard and can keep pace with the rapid development of technology in the private sector.
